I haven't posted anything in a couple of days, as I have felt torn between putting up people's pictures and potentially compromising the idea of the project due to the fact that so many of them know each other or have at least met each other. I am really wanting to allow each person to have their own flavour and for them to not influence each other in any way. However, I have decided, that I shall continue with posting the individual pictures, so here goes...

Rochelle S. - Newly qualified nurse!
Rochelle is an inspiring woman. For anyone who ever wished that they had
trained for a qualification other than what they actually did train for when
they were younger; this is the lady to
look to, to be inspired.
Although Rochelle received her degree, trained and worked in
her twenties in the computer and corporate worlds, she realised that her heart
had always been in the medical field.
With her family’s support, she went back to college just last year and
completed the diploma she really wanted – nursing. Not just that, but she completed the course
with honours!
Rochelle and I spent our hour together talking about a
passion of hers – speaking truth into people’s lives – in particular, parents
speaking truth to their children.
As I left, I felt as though I had not served her well, but
had rather just had a visit with friend. On verbalising this to her,
Rochelle stopped me and told me that she felt as though “others often mistake
her passion in expressing the truth for arrogance.” She felt that I had “served her by taking the
time to listen to her and understand her thoughts and motivations”.
She felt that through this hour, I had encouraged her and given her
comfort, just by being a listening ear.
I left her home, clearer on how little time we take to hear
one another. How we give voices to so
many things or different parts of the world, but no longer have time for our
own friends or neighbours to have a voice.
Because someone has a different opinion, doesn’t make them arrogant or
opinionated, it simply means they believe something else – AND that’s
okay.
